Wild caught Southern Bluefin Tuna are ranched & fattened in the pristine waters off Port Lincoln. The fish are fed fresh & frozen baitfish to naturally enhance the quality of their flesh for the lucrative Japanese market.
SWMP contract packs tuna in fresh & frozen states. All fresh fish are harvested, processed & dispatched on the same day in accordance with strict transport cold chain arrangements.
Tuna for freezing are frozen at -55◦C in super freezers on site & stored in shipping containers at -60◦C. Minimum shipping container order size is 20 tonnes (smaller orders available on request).
